Who are we?
The Maynooth & Hastings Highlands Business Association (MHHBA) was founded in 1989 and incorporated in 1992. Twenty-seven years later, we remain a compassionate, not-for-profit, community-minded business organization that is completely managed by volunteers. Our membership has grown during the past two years from 60, to 90 and now 106. Committee structure for the association.
Who is eligible for membership?
Our constitution specifies that any persons, associations or corporations involved in trade or commerce, or in the economic and social welfare, of the Municipality of Hastings Highlands are eligible for membership.
What do we do?
Our objective is “to foster good business relations and to create and sustain an economic environment attractive to new businesses and residents". Our mandate has expanded from our origins in the town of Maynooth to include, represent and promote all member businesses, and business in general, within Hastings Highlands. To do so, MHHBA undertakes government relations, supports economic development, tourism and beautification, offers educational and networking opportunities for local businesses, proudly supports the marketing of the Hastings Highlands area and presents several community events. We also work in collaboration with several business, tourism, community and government partners!
